Monsoon Outlook for July 25, 2023
ByStaff|onJuly 25, 2023
Here is your Monsoon Outlook for Tuesday, July 25, 2023, provided by the US National Weather Service, Flagstaff, Arizona.
Tuesday should be another good monsoon action day. If you’re anywhere in northern Arizona, you’ve got at least a slight chance of seeing a shower or thunderstorm. According to the US National Weather Service, Flagstaff, AZ, due to a high-pressure system that has set up over New Mexico, dryer air is moving up into eastern Arizona but it doesn’t appear to be enough to keep monsoonal activity from occurring. However, with this setup, higher chances are in place for both Coconino and Yavapai Counties.

Storm activity should begin to occur during the afternoon hours with the best chances over Coconino, Yavapai, southern Navajo, and southern Apache counties. Prescott has a 50% chance of storms while Sedona is at 43%, and Flagstaff is at 55%. The main impacts from the storms will be gusty winds, heavy rain, lightning, and the potential for small hail. As always, do not cross flooded roadways. Turn around. Don’t drown.
