Reheat french fries in the air fryer once, and you’ll quickly see the benefits.

The dry circulating heat of the air fryer reactivates the oil in the fries, making them perfectly crispy on the outside without drying them out on the inside. It’s the perfect way to revive leftover fries in a matter of minutes.

Another option is to reheat your fries in the oven. It will do the trick, but the results are less predictable. It’s not uncommon to end up with dry, rock-hard fries.

For best results, be sure that your oven is set to at least 400-425 degrees F, and put the fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, aluminum foil, or a wire rack. Bake for about 8-10 minutes, checking and shaking periodically.

If your kitchen is equipped with a countertop deep fryer, this is another reheating option.

This method will definitely make your french fries crispy again but at the expense of lots more oil. It can get a bit messy to do it this way, and the fries tend to come out a bit greasy.

A stovetop skillet with oil can be used to reheat french fries as well. However, you’ll only be able to work in small batches, and you’ll need to keep a close eye on the skillet.

The pros and cons of this method are similar to reheating in the deep fryer, except you can have more control over the amount of added oil.

Don’t do it! Microwaving encourages steam and will only make french fries soggy.
